Our Latest “Street Stories” Video

The Flourish Women’ Ministry from St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Brecksville, OH recently conducted a project called “Home Starter Baskets” for donation to I’m in Ministry! Their goal was to collect Food, Cleaning Supplies and Toiletries so 50+ individuals would have an easier time getting started in their new homes. They surpassed their goal. Our truck came to St. Basil to accept that gracious donation.

You Really Need To See This!!

Kindness x 3

The first act of kindness

It all started with the kindness of Fr. Walt Jenne and his persistence in advocating for I’m in Ministry! (IMIM). Fr. Walt approached a potential benefactor and discussed the work of IMIM. Fr. Walt did such a great job that the unknown benefactor decided to purchase a new box truck complete with a lift gate for IMIM. This incredible act of kindness and generosity was conveyed to IMIM by the anonymous donor’s representative, who directed me to purchase the truck.

The second act of kindness

Not sure how to purchase the best possible truck based on the needs of IMIM, I called Brian O’Donnell, the owner of Valley Ford Truck.  Brian guided me through choosing the best truck based on IMIM’s needs. Brian provided the truck to IMIM at his cost and also personally contributed financially to cover various additional costs for the truck including transport costs, installation of the liftgate, and preparation costs, saving IMIM above ten thousand dollars.

The third act of kindness

I then called Steven Gable from Innovation Exhibits in Boardman, Ohio; I told Steve about the donations and acts of kindness in receiving the truck; I asked Steve about placing the IMIM logo on the truck. Two days later, Steve emailed me and said his company and family decided to donate all the graphics for the new truck.

I have the privilege to receive and experience acts of kindness every day. With all the challenges we encounter in daily media reports and other information sources, I see kindness overshadowing all negativity. We need to encourage acts of kindness and promote stories of kindness. Finally, the goodness in people is the best Street Story I can share. Thanks to all who support IMIM. I am humble. With gratitude, I thank God for allowing me to see and experience the goodness in all God’s children.

Love and friendship,

Deacon Lou Primozic

St. Basil Choir does more than make music
Initiated by the leadership of Nancy Jovanov and Stephanie Baka, the St. Basil Choir last week made a significant contribution to I’m in Ministry. (IMIM). The members of the choir made individual contributions and the total is a significant amount of money that will benefit nearly one hundred children. Below is a thank you letter I sent to Stephanie to share with all the members of the Choir. During my sixteen years at St Basil, I witnessed the music and voices of the choir, during weekend liturgies, the resurrection choir at funerals, and music and vocals at weddings and special celebrations. I always admired the commitment, dedication and talent of the St Basil Choir. Once again, they exceeded my expectations to help me and the children we serve at IMIM.
To the St. Basil Choir:
Thank you for believing in me and the people that I’m in Ministry! (IMIM) has the privilege to serve every day. The individual donations you have provided to IMIM will be used to serve children IMIM is called to serve. The money will provide food to the hungry, clothing to the poor and basics we take for granted like diapers, hygiene products and life’s necessities to children. I believe this my friends is truly living the Gospel.
Jesus says: “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37
Finally, my gratitude is not nearly enough, my prayers for you are the only way to say thank you.
The donations, kindness, and compassion you show me and the people IMIM serves is a reminder of how much I miss the people of the St Basil Community.
Love and friendship.

I’m in Ministry (IMIM) is proud to announce being selected by the Cleveland Clinic Community Health and Partnerships. The Cleveland Clinic recognized the outstanding work in serving adults and children within specific neighborhoods surrounding the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Representatives of The Cleveland Clinic Community Health and Partnerships stated that they have been impressed with the services of IMIM and are aware of the positive impact IMIM is making serving individuals and children living in poverty, while facing other insurmountable challenges every day. The newly formed partnership will benefit the health, wellbeing and health equity of the most vulnerable populations of the communities Cleveland Clinic and IMIM serve, whether in urban Cleveland, inner-ring suburbs or surrounding communities/counties. The Cleveland Clinic will provide financial and collaborative support while building a long-term partnership with IMIM. A key goal of the Community Health Strategy is to provide services to families and people throughout their lifetime, a principle exactly consistent with the IMIM initiative that once you become a client member, you are a client member for life. Deacon Lou Primozic stated we look forward to a relationship that benefits those we humbly serve.
